Julie Hatano

Julie Hatano is a rising sophomore at Bowdoin College studying Music Theory and Composition and English. She is a violinist in the Bowdoin Symphony Orchestra and in a chamber group on campus. She performed the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor as the recipient of the Huntington Beach Academy of the Performing Arts concerto competition, and received State Honors on the California Certificate of Merit Advanced Violin evaluations. In addition to performance, Julie works as a concert assistant in Studzinski Concert Hall and enjoys baking with friends and learning piano for fun.
