Oboist Dannielle McBryan enjoys a career of chamber music performance, most notably at Weill Hall, and her two fellowships with the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Recently, she performed with Ensemble Connect at their Skidmore College residency. As a soloist, she won the 2016 Purchase Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition with the Martinu Oboe Concerto. Additionally, she will perform Laura Kaminsky’s Oboe Concerto with the Purchase Contemporary Ensemble in May 2017. Ms. McBryan received her Bachelor’s at the Manhattan School of Music with Stephen Taylor and is pursuing her Master’s at SUNY Purchase with James Austin Smith.
