Piotr Kozłowski (Poland) is a versatile pianist with a special affinity towards chamber and contemporary music. He is a laureate of chamber music and solo piano competitions in Poland and abroad, and he has performed in most European countries and the United States.
After completing his studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, he continued his education at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and received his doctorate guided by Kevin Kenner and Dr. Naoko Takao. As part of the Erasmus scholarship program, Piotr had the opportunity to study under the guidance of chamber musician Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
Piotr received a scholarship for an album recording Beeth250ven (Young Virtuosos; the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music; Société Générale) and was featured on Interwar Retrospections album performing Bernstein’s Piano Trio (Sarton Records). He repeatedly works as a collaborative pianist during the Philadelphia International Music Festival (winter edition in Redland, FL).
Currently based in Miami, Piotr Kozłowski continues to freelance locally and globally. He has premiered works by Donald Scott Stinson, Julia Janiak, and other living composers. Piotr enjoys creative programing — he aims to expose the beauty of classical and contemporary chamber music. He also loves baroque and early 20th-century music.
Piotr has honed his music skills in Europe and the United States working with teachers such as Jeffrey Zeigler, Svet Stoyanov, Katarzyna Jankowska-Borzykowska, Elżbieta Tarnawska, Willem Brons, and Frank-Immo Zichner, among many others.
