Susannah Greenslit is a horn player based in Los Angeles, California. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California, where she studies with Julie Landsman. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the instruction of Richard King and graduated with academic honors. Susannah has attended numerous summer festivals and workshops, including the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, Miami Classical Music Festival, Kinhaven Music School, Kendall Betts Horn Camp, and the International Horn Symposium.
While attending high school in her home state of Maryland, Susannah was chosen to participate in the National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellowship, a selective professional development program for young musicians. While there, she studied with James Nickel of the National Symphony Orchestra and participated in solo performances and chamber recitals at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Susannah was recognized for her outstanding efforts in the fellowship by becoming the 2017 recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Stephens Brewster Award. She was also selected to participate in the Brass of Peace scholarship program, also sponsored by the Kennedy Center, in which she performed with other high-level musicians across the D.C. area under the direction of Sylvia Alimena. This summer, Susannah will also attend the Colorado College Summer Music Festival. In her free time, Susannah loves to read, play board games, and explore the hiking trails around beautiful Southern California.
